I am so proud to be the parent of a child who attends Prairie Baptist School. My son Kendall is going into second grade this fall. On May 31st he came home from school telling me about his lesson in chapel. This led him to ask a lot of questions about Jesus. We started talking about who Jesus is and how He died on the cross for our sins. As I was explaining this to Kendall, I could see that he was really starting to understand and apply this to his life and heart. I asked him if he had ever accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He told me no, but he did want to know that he was going to heaven when he died. So right there, my son accepted Christ as his Savior. There's no greater joy than knowing your children will be serving the Lord and be in heaven with you for all eternity!
Sometimes, when writing the check to send Kendall to school, my heart would sigh at the amount. Now, when I see the impact that the teachers and school have had on my son both academically and spiritually, I know that this is where God wants Kendall to be. I know that God will reward the sacrifices made today. Praise the Lord for all His blessings to me! Thanks be first to God, but also to the staff at PBS for your gift of teaching children to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
